Do you accept mail-in repairs?
Yes. Customers throughout Japan may ship equipment directly to our workshop in Sapporo for evaluation, repair, restoration and modification services.
How much does a repair cost?
Every repair begins with a diagnostic evaluation.
Current rates:
- Diagnostic / bench fee: ¥8,000
- Includes up to one hour of evaluation
- Additional labor: ¥6,500 per hour
- Parts billed separately
We will provide an estimate before proceeding with repairs.
Do you provide estimates before starting work?
Yes.
After evaluating the equipment we will provide a repair estimate and approximate timeline. No repair work is performed without customer approval.
How long will my repair take?
Turnaround times vary depending on:
- Complexity of the repair
- Parts availability
- Current workshop workload
Minor repairs may be completed within a few days, while vintage restorations can take several weeks.
Can you repair vintage equipment?
Yes.
Vintage restoration is one of our specialties. We regularly service and restore:

Our goal is to preserve the original character and reliability of the equipment whenever possible.

Can you source replacement parts?
In many cases, yes.
We maintain relationships with suppliers in Japan and internationally and can often source:
- Vintage replacement parts
- Tubes
- Potentiometers
- Switches
- Transformers
- Electronic components
For obsolete parts, suitable replacements or restoration options may be available.
Will you preserve original components?
Whenever practical.
For collectible vintage equipment we generally prioritize preserving originality while maintaining reliability and safety.
Any major changes or component replacements will be discussed before work begins.
Do you offer a warranty on repairs?
Yes.
Most repair work includes a 30-day warranty covering the specific repair performed. Warranty terms may vary depending on equipment condition and the nature of the repair.
What if my equipment cannot be repaired?
If a repair is not economically practical or technically possible, we will explain the situation and discuss available options before any additional work is performed.
How should I package equipment for shipping?
We recommend:
- Removing loose accessories
- Using a sturdy box
- Providing at least 50–100 mm of padding on all sides
- Double-boxing valuable equipment
- Insuring shipments when possible
Improper packaging is the most common cause of shipping damage.
