Guild Newark St. Starfire VI with Bigsby
Guild Newark St. Starfire VI with Bigsby
One of my favorite semi hollow style guitars ever made. This guitar is from the Guild Newark St. reissue line of the original Guild electrics from the 60s and 70s. This model features a semi hollow arched mahogany body with mahogany neck topped with a ivory ABS bound ebony fingerboard. The guitar is equipped with a Guild Bigsby tailpiece, a tune o matic bridge with pinned ebony base and deluxe Grover Sta-tite tuners.
The Guild LB-1 "Little Buckers" on this guitar are some of my favorite pickups out there. More body than single coil pickups and more clarity and jangle than PAF style humbuckers. These pickups have the clarity and punch that sound similar to Filtron and Firebird type pickups.
Guitar is in Very good condition with almost no wear. frets are in good condition, two very small scratches on the back pictured.
CroyTone Audio is a full service repair and restoration shop and every guitar is checked, cleaned and setup before being placed for sale. please reach out if you have any questions about our instruments or services.
